Each document project has an extensive introductory essay. This and the other elements of the project have been peer-reviewed by a scholarly editorial board. The "document list" for each project provides readers with a table of contents that lists the documents and images in that project. The document list is linked at the bottom of the introduction, and is not visible in the example below.
